Update 12/9

Its been a crazy week so sorry for no updates...Dad is doing great! Still scheduled to be released soon. That just means that he will be home, be able to settle in for a couple days, then he will do day therapy 9-3 every day. He is just super excited that he will be home for Christmas...and so are we! We don't know what our celebration will be like this year but it will be simple and we will all be together. On Friday, we went for "family day" - that's what Dad called it - to be trained for bringing dad home. He does really awesome getting around (walking - no walker or cane) and really only needs us just in case he loses his balance. We just had to learn all of the techniques he's learned for getting around, scanning a room before entering, remembering things, games to play to stimulate his brain, etc. It was great for him and us and he was very proud and excited to have HIS "support staff" there. We all know its still a long road but we are all excited and encouraged about all of the progress Dad has made and continues to make every day. We'll keep you updated.
