surgery

Dad is doing great! He still thinks he's the funniest guy around so he's always telling jokes and making us laugh.  He is having surgery to replace the bone flap (the part of his skull that was removed) on January 14. He will have to stay in the hospital for a few days afterward and will not be able to resume going to rehab for at least 2 weeks. This is the next big hurdle because once it is done Dad won't have to wear a helmet or be quite as worried about any more injury.
Thank you all for your continued prayers they are working so keep them coming. We said that we would let people know when they could visit but its been a day by day decision - some days he is really tired, others he is not. So if you are healthy (we can't have him getting sick and putting this off any more) and want to visit before the surgery, he will be home a lot this week because of doctors appointments so give Karen a call to set up a good time.
