So Dad did not sleep well last night - was tossing and turning. He was very tired in the morning so he wasn't talking much but once he started he was very funny and apparently the biggest penn state fan ever. In his morning speech therapy his therapist said he did great, she'll be back later and try food and water so she asked daddy what he likes to drink. He said, "Uhhhh Budweiser, Budweiser and more Budweiser " and she laughed and goes "well i don't have beer and he goes alright I'll take Scotch and water" and she goes "Uhhhh i don't have that and he goes "well straight Scotch is fine" and laughed. So in his afternoon session he got to eat applesauce! Not really what he wanted but it was a good step. In his afternoon physical therapy session he walked up and down the hallway twice (there's a video below). Even though some of the things he says seem really off the wall, you can still see him in each and every story he tells or face he makes. He still loves to be funny and make everyone laugh. Each day seems to get a little bit better so keep on sending your love and prayers.
And here are a few of his funny stories today:
Aw he wasn't really talking just being quiet so the therapist was like lets go somewhere else it will help.. we go to the tv room and people were in here and they said to come in and dad starts laughing And laughing and goes "thank you, thank you thank you very much" and was laughing and the nurse was like oh i guess you love attention! And he laughed.. then he looked at her and goes "well what's funny is you got me all the way here now we gotta go back cause i have to go the bathroom..now that's just funny"
Apparently dads the biggest Penn state ever.. goes to all the games, one if his friends wouldn't go so he chanted "you should come, you should come, you should cone" so the friend went and him and dad had the best time ever .....?!?!?
"What do the eagles play"... "they just loose".. how about the phillies "kiss my ass bitches they allll loose" and he just started laughing ...
He was staring at the poster from the benefit (a picture of him and mom from Ally's wedding) and just goes wow that lady looks just like my wife and smiled and kept staring
"Hey dad im one Of your daughters, what's my name".. well i have four but me and mommy erased you guys".. well why? And he laughed and goes "cause. Of the way you act...CRAAAAAAZZZY"
Grandmom got here and goes hey Jim how you doing and goes "hey mom. I'm doing good...how was that Penn state game yesterday?"
He high fived grandmom and goes "how you making out mom?"
He told grandmom she looks good and aunt Marie goes do i look good and daddy goes "well you're all done up.. like hair and make up... mom doesn't need all that."
He knows me!... he's telling everyone he was at a party and goes "yeah i had some beers... Gabrielle(points to me) she got drunk real early, but she still behaved."
They're putting meds in his feeding tube and he held his stomach and shook Ans acted like it was hurting but then started laughing and everyone got scared and.aunt Marie was like laughing but crying cause it acared her and he goes "oh poooor Marie" lol but the nurse was so scared lolol
